Local Media Covers Recent Developments in the Janel Grant – WWE Lawsuit
07/18/2024Media outlets across Connecticut reported on the latest development in the high-profile case involving Janel Grant, the former WWE employee who has sued the WWE and its founder Vince McMahon for alleged sexual assault and trafficking.
On behalf of their client, Ms. Grant, litigation attorneys at Hurwitz Sagarin Slossberg & Knuff – David Slossberg and Erica Nolan – filed a Petition for a Bill of Discovery in State Superior Court in Stamford, seeking to have a judge order Dr. Carlon Colker, the principal of Peak Wellness, Inc. to turn over Ms. Grant’s complete medical records, correspondence regarding their treatment of her, and additional information on their relationship with McMahon and the WWE.
Grant, who worked at the Stamford-based WWE from 2019 to 2022, filed her lawsuit against McMahon and the WWE in January in U.S. District Court. Erica said Grant has agreed to pause her lawsuit until December to allow the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate her allegations.
No court hearing for the petition has been set.
