HSSK Represents Johnson Memorial Hospital in Launch of New Ambulance Service
08/06/2023 | CT InsiderHSSK Attorneys David Slossberg and Erica Nolan secured approval for Trinity Health Of New England Emergency Medical Services, Inc. (“Trinity EMS”) to expand its ambulance services to serve Johnson Memorial Hospital, a Trinity Health member facility in Stafford Springs, CT. This includes certification to provide standalone EMS and ambulance services and approval for two ambulances and two non-transport paramedic intercept vehicles, or “fly-cars.” This approval will enable Trinity EMS and Johnson Memorial Hospital to better service the surrounding community by efficiently transporting critically ill patients without relying on external agencies.
David and Erica had to meet the burden of establishing the need for this service to obtain approval for their client. Having represented Trinity for several years, the firm understands how to navigate the complex and specialized regulatory process required by the Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services to either advance its client’s EMS services or challenge the other services looking to grow their foothold in markets already served by Trinity.
