Kristen Zaehringer Invited by Federal Judges to Participate in Warren W. Eginton Justice Institute

07/11/2023
Kristen Zaehringer, a partner at HSSK, has been chosen by federal judges in Connecticut to participate in the Warren W. Eginton Justice Institute. This institute, named after the longest-serving federal judge in Connecticut, is a free week-long program for high school students. The program encompasses instructional panels led by lawyers and judges who will speak about civil and criminal litigation. The program will end with a moot court competition where students will apply the skills they learned throughout the week.

On Monday, July 17th, Kristen will participate in a panel titled “Anatomy of a Civil Case.” She will be joined by the moderator, Magistrate Judge Thomas Farrish, and fellow panelists Joshua Goodbaum of Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti, PC; Michelle McConaghy of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for District of CT, and Moy N. Ogilvie of McCarter & English.

This free court program and others like it are designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the judicial process, as well as legal and life skills from judges, lawyers, federal law enforcement agents, and other professionals.
