Today’s Business: Connecticut Leads the Way Ensuring Fairness in Trade Practices — CUTPA at 50

06/12/2023 | Connecticut Post, Firm News, New Haven Register
It’s time to celebrate the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act’s 50th anniversary, and what better way than with an article lauding this important legislation that fundamentally changed the relationship between consumers and businesses?

And there might be only a few more appropriate to write this article than HSSK partner David Slossberg, a litigator who often brings or defends claims under CUTPA and is the co-author of the CUTPA, Business Torts and Anti-Trust Treatise. David also frequently lectures on CUTPA and did so as recently as June 5th at the Connecticut Bar Association Legal Conference.

David’s article, “Connecticut leads the way ensuring fairness in trade practices — CUTPA at 50,” can be found in the Hearst Publications, Connecticut Post, New Haven Register, Middletown Press, and Stamford Advocate, and in printed copies where available.
