12/13/2015 | Thomson Reuters
Six Hurwitz, Sagarin, Slossberg & Knuff, LLC attorneys, sixty percent of the attorneys in the firm, have been selected for inclusion in the 2015 New England Edition of Super Lawyers magazine published by Thomson Reuters and the publishers of Connecticut Magazine. HSSK Member J. Daniel Sagarin has been selected in the category of General Litigation, HSSK Members David A. Slossberg, David L. Belt have been selected in the category of Business Litigation, and HSSK Member Amy E. Souchuns has been selected in the category of Land Use/Zoning. HSSK Associate David C. Shufrin, has been selected as a Rising Star in the category of Business Litigation.

The New England Edition of Super Lawyers lists the top attorneys in New England from the Super Lawyers list.

The Super Lawyers selection process uses a patented, multiphase selection process, combining peer nominations and independent research. This includes developing a diverse list of top attorneys nominated by their own peers. This list is then validated by third-party research across 12 key categories conducted by an attorney-led research team. The categories include verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, positions within law firm, bar and other professional activity, pro bono and community service as a lawyer, lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other outstanding achievements. Candidates are then grouped into categories based on practice area and reviewed by those attorneys who received the highest totals from each category. Only 5% of attorneys are selected as Super Lawyers and only 2.5% of attorneys are selected as Rising Stars. A more detailed description of the selection process can be found on the web at http://www.superlawyers.com.
