Court Awards Over $1 million Dollars in Attorney’s Fees, Costs and Sanctions Under Lanham Act and Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (“CUTPA”)

After a full trial on the merits, and defendant’s post-trial contempt of court orders, a Connecticut Federal District Court awarded $1,001,018.75 in attorney’s fees, costs and coercive contempt sanctions under the Lanham Act and CUTPA. This case arose from efforts by Plaintiff’s former United States subsidiary to highjack its trademark, which had long been associated with Plaintiff’s manufacture and distribution of commercial laundry equipment from its plant in Heilbrunn, Germany. HSSK’s managing partner, David Slossberg, served as co-lead trial counsel on the matter. Click here to view the Order
