Appellate Court Affirms DEEP’s Decision To Revoke Operating Permit For Recycling Facility at 990 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, Connecticut

After a lengthy battle on behalf of the City of Milford, the Appellate Court affirmed the death of a recycling facility that was premised on a false and misleading application to DEEP, including the concealed involvement of a known felon who had set up a sham company as the applicant. The matter included a five-day trial before DEEP, argument to the Superior Court and this latest appeal. The City pursued the matter to protect the public safety of its residents from the sham operations of this facility adjacent to residential neighborhoods. HSSK partners David Slossberg and Amy Souchuns tried the case and handled the appeals.
